Hi, we're VEGAS WITH RANDOLPH. good to meet ya.
Ok, so you may already know that we're from Washington D.C., that we've got a new CD out. Here's a little about some of the recordings...

CONCEIVING THE PROJECT

John & Eric had written and performed together in the band "Wayfarer" several years ago. Their songwriting partnership continued through the eras of Euphoria and Cherrysmash, and while several tunes penned by the pair were recorded by these bands, there was a large and growing collection of songs that had not yet been released. John originally conceived the album as a means of recording some of the pair's best songs from these. With the addition of Dan, Erin, Dave, & Brock they began to rehearse, perform, and arrange as a band, as well as completing the recordings which make up the "Vegas with Randolph" CD.

Based on the success of the VWR recording, the band began to rehearse and write as a unit frequently and actively in 2008, and has decided to quickly follow-up the 2008 VWR release with a series of singles, which are scheduled to be released shortly.

LATEST HAPPENINGS

Currently, Vegas with Randolph is continually writing, in the process of recording 4 new songs, and looking towards a second full length CD release planned for sometime next year. In addition, their single "Buses, Trains & Planes" has recently been release to radio nationwide by Oasis Recording (call your local station and request it!). A video for BPT is also underway and should be released shortly.

ABOUT THE SONGS (Liner Notes)

[IMAGE] The following is some history about some of the songs, notes about their recording, or whatever we feel like telling ya. Liner notes of sorts..

Be The One

Tales of the search for compatibility, and the difficulty therein: "I wish that you would be the one that I want, It's so hard..." This one was inspired by nights at the Ha' Penny Lion club and other similar locales in DC. Was a quick fun upbeat thing that makes a great album opener.

Happy

A song that has been kicking around for quite a while in different iterations, formerly called "Green". Went through a phase where the lyrics were "Don't want to be happy" but singing it thsi way just didn't ring true. Ultimately we all want to be to some degree, and the Jefferson quote and the like
